- One of the biggest obstacles I face is being involved in too many things. This habit keeps me from focusing on the highest value activities in my life and my business. Being aware of this,I can make different choices.

One of my greatest Dreams is to write and record a Country Music CD. The problem is that it is very expensive. So financing this dream is a challenge,especially with the economy these days. I also had brain surgery 2 years ago due to a brain disorder I have. This was to remove a large tumor from my right frontal lobe. This is also a challenge for me. My piano playing is different now so this is another challenge. I still have a tumor in my brainstem which cannot be removed because of its location. This is an obstacle as well. These are all just challenges or obstacles that are in my way at the moment.

My inability to put myself first gets in the way of my life’s dreams. I’m like Cinderella –take care of everybody else first and THEN I can go to the ball. Well…I’m never going to that ball –or any ball
well i was 19 years old when I decided to move to Los Angeles,CA. from Mexico
and star a new future for myself.
I got a job as a courtesy clerk but my eyes where always on the store managers
so I ask them what would it take to get their job,so I hit the books and push myself
to get that job….so after some promotions I got to be a Front end manager @ a well known
grocery store I worked 17 years for this company and I loved it.
Now I lived in Vermont and stay home with my son this is the gratest gift.

My name is Diane-I promised myself that by the time I was 50,i would write a book. I’m 54 now and my book isn’t even started so I’m in trouble. I have done some freelancing though,so maybe that’s my baby step in the right direction! My obstacle is abuse as a teen,left me with a big self-esteem problem. This self doubt sometimes prevents me from following through with my dreams. Ouch,why am I sharing this on a stranger’s blog???????
